AACAP Launches PsychStream to Expand Access to Clinical Education

Washington DC — The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) today launched PsychStream, a new on-demand platform that delivers timely, evidence-based education to child and adolescent psychiatrists worldwide. The platform includes original content from five AACAP meetings, including the 2023 and 2024 Annual Meetings, with additional programming to follow.

Key features of PsychStream include:

  • Watch Anytime, Anywhere: Stream content on your schedule using desktop or mobile devices—at home, in the office, or on the go.
  • Access World-Class Content: Explore more than 1,000 expert presentations on ADHD, anxiety, autism, aggression, substance use, psychopharmacology, and more.
  • Navigate With Ease: Use a modern, intuitive interface to quickly find content aligned with your clinical interests and learning goals.

“We are so excited to be launching this new member benefit,” said Heidi Fordi, Executive Director/CEO, AACAP. “PsychStream allows us to extend the reach of our flagship Annual Meeting, and other educational offerings, throughout the year, particularly to members who are unable to attend via traditional means. This platform now plays a vital role in disseminating essential knowledge across the field.”

PsychStream supports lifelong learning by delivering expert-led sessions directly to clinicians. It reinforces AACAP’s commitment to improving the mental health of children, adolescents, and families through accessible, high-quality education.

“Live conference education is the cornerstone of ensuring child and adolescent psychiatrists are current on the newest research and best practices in the field and able to provide the highest quality care to their patients,” said Barbara J. Coffey, MD, AACAP’s Program Committee Chair. “Through PsychStream, we’re making the premier educational content provided by AACAP available on-demand and accessible to clinicians around the globe.”

AACAP developed PsychStream to extend the reach of its in-person programming. By offering trusted clinical content in an on-demand format, the platform helps psychiatrists stay current, connected, and well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of their patients.
