AACAP Honors Amalia Londoño Tobón, MD with Diversity Equity and Inclusion Emerging Leaders (DEI) Fellowship
Washington, DC, February 17, 2022 – The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce Amalia Londoño Tobón, MD, as the JAACAP fellowship recipient of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s (AACAP’s) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Emerging Leaders Fellowship.
AACAP’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Emerging Leaders Fellowship was created to support AACAP’s efforts to strengthen diversity leadership and workforce development in AACAP priority areas specific to the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (JAACAP). JAACAP DEI Fellows will have the opportunity to build their peer review skills with the support of JAACAP’s senior editors, participate in a mentored scholarly project focused on race, racism, social justice, and health equity in children’s mental health, and learn about scientific publishing.
