Tashalee R. Brown, MD, PhD, Receives AACAP’s Pilot Research Award for Learning Disabilities, supported by AACAP’s Elaine Schlosser Lewis Fund

Washington, DC, October 23, 2022 –The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce Tashalee R. Brown, MD, PhD, University of California Los Angeles, as the recipient of AACAP's 2022 Pilot Research Award for Learning Disabilities, supported by AACAP’s Elaine Schlosser Lewis Fund.

AACAP’s Pilot Research Award for Learning Disabilities, supported by AACAP’s Elaine Schlosser Lewis Fund provides up to $15,000 of funding for junior faculty and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows who have an interest in beginning a career in child and adolescent mental health research. This award reduces the shortage in clinical researchers by supporting young investigators engaging in mental health research programs.

Dr. Brown will be recognized at the Junior Research Scholar Lunch during AACAP's 70th Annual Meeting in New York, NY, October 23-28, 2023.
