Getting to and from Midway International Airport:

  • Taxi: Taxi stands are located on the lower level curb front of the terminals, and taxis are available on a first come, first served basis. Fares are based on traffic conditions, but an average fare from Midway to downtown Chicago is $35-40.
  • Rideshare: The loading zone for rideshare services is on the lower level outside of baggage Claim, Door 4.
  • Car: Passengers can be dropped off at the curb front of any Midway concourse or picked up from at the lower level, outermost curb front.
  • CTA “L” Trains: The Orange Line train service operates from approximately 4:00 to 4:30 am to approximately 1:00 am every day with more frequent service during weekday morning and evening rush hours. The average travel time from Midway to downtown is 20-25 minutes. The fully-accessible station is located just east of the airport terminal building at the Midway Transportation Center and is connected to the airport via an enclosed walkway.   • Bus: The CTA offers nine bus routes that serve Midway: Routes 47, 54B, 55, 55A, 55N, 62N, 62H, 63, and 63W. You can find detailed CTA bus route information on the CTA's website.
  • Shuttle: Go Airport Express provides door-to-door downtown coverage, including most Chicago neighborhoods and suburbs. They begin operations during the early morning hours and depart approximately every 10 to 15 minutes from each terminal. The pickup location is at Door 3 in the lower level baggage claim. Getting to and from O'Hare international Airport:

  • Taxi: There are Taxi Stands at the lower level curb front (outside of Baggage Claim) at each terminal. Fares are based on traffic conditions, but an average fare from O'Hare to downtown Chicago is $30-40. 
  • Rideshare: Loading zones for Rideshare services are at the following locations:
    • Terminal 1 & Terminal 2 - waiting area Upper Level Door 2A
    • Terminal 3 - waiting area Upper Level Door 2E
    • Terminal 5 - waiting area Lower Level Door 5C
    • Uber Black and Uber Taxi will pick up on the Lower Level.
  • Car: Passengers can be dropped off at the curb front of any O'Hare terminal or picked up on the lower level, outermost curb.
  • CTA “L” Trains: The CTA Blue Line station is located at the lower level of the airport parking garage offering easy access for passengers. The Blue Line offers 24 hour service with more frequent service during weekday morning and evening rush hours. The fare ranges from $2.50-$5.00.     Transportation by Train

    Amtrak serves Chicago with about 50 trains arriving and departing daily at Chicago Union Station , located 1.7 miles away from the Hyatt Regency Chicago. A taxi ride from Chicago Union Station to the Hyatt Regency Chicago can range from $8.00-$12.00.
