Washington, D.C., April 29, 2013 - The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) announces that it has achieved the status of Accreditation with Commendation from the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).

The Accreditation with Commendation designation is the highest level of accreditation recognized by the ACCME and results in an extended six year term of accreditation. Approximately 20 percent of providers achieve this status.

The ACCME's decision confirms AACAP's compliance with all 22 of the ACCME's criteria which include the Standards for Commercial Support. Each year, AACAP delivers 30 CME activities including live events, materials and Journal CME reaching an average of 10,000 physicians.
