An Update on Assessment and Management of ASD and Associated PsychopathologyParticipants receive up-to-date information on the assessment and management of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and associated psychiatric conditions, including sleep dysregulation, with an emphasis on the gender and developmental differences in clinical presentation, sleep-related issues, and social skills interventions. A critical, evidence-based review of novel interventions prepares participants to develop an optimal treatment plan encompassing psychoeducational, behavioral, and psychopharmacological therapeutic interventions. Participants learn how to better guide parents to facilitate appropriate treatment planning and management. Discussion includes a review of current systems of care, gaps in and barriers to care, and the unique challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic on the clinical care of youth with ASD.
