German Velez, MD, Receives AACAP’s Pilot Research Award for General Psychiatry Residents, supported by Industry Sponsors
Washington, DC, October 25, 2021 –The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce German Velez, MD, Boston Medical Center Corporation and Boston University School of Medicine, as the recipient of AACAP's 2021 Pilot Research Award for General Psychiatry Residents, supported by Industry Sponsors.
AACAP’s Pilot Research Award for General Psychiatry Residents, supported by Industry Sponsors provides up to $15,000 of funding for general psychiatry residents who have an interest in beginning a career in child and adolescent mental health research. This award reduces the shortage in clinical researchers by supporting young investigators engaging in mental health research programs.
Dr. Velez will be recognized at the Junior Research Scholar Lunch during AACAP's 69th Annual Meeting in Toronto, Canada, October 17-22, 2021.
