James F. Leckman, MD, PhD, Receives AACAP’s 2020 Norbert and Charlotte Rieger Award for Scientific Achievement

Washington, DC, November 13, 2020 –The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce James F. Leckman, MD, PhD, Neison Harris Professor of Child Psychiatry, Pediatrics and Psychology at Yale as the recipient of AACAP’s 2020 Norbert and Charlotte Rieger Award for Scientific Achievement.  

The award, supported by the Norbert and Charlotte Rieger Foundation, recognizes the best paper, written by a child and adolescent psychiatrist, and published in the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from July – June of the preceding year. 

Dr. Leckman presented “Effects of the Mother-Child Education Program on Parenting Stress and Disciplinary Practices Among Refugee and Other Marginalized Communities in Lebanon: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial” in his Honors Presentation at AACAP’s Virtual Annual Meeting.
