Washington, D.C., September 19, 2012 - The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce Rebecca Hommer, M.D., as the recipient of AACAP's 2012 Beatrix A. Hamburg Award for the Best New Research Poster by a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Resident. This award recognizes Dr. Hommer for her poster, "Attention Bias to Threat Faces in Severe Mood Dysregulation."
AACAP's Beatrix A. Hamburg Award for the Best New Research Poster was established in 1996 through a grant from the Greenwall Foundation in honor of Beatrix A. Hamburg, M.D., a trustee of the foundation. Dr. Hamburg was the President of the Williams T. Grant Foundation and is a Fellow of AACAP. The award recipient receives a $1,000 honorarium.
Dr. Hommer presents her new research poster at AACAP's 59th Annual Meeting on October 27, 2012, in San Francisco.
