Washington, D.C., September 19, 2012 - The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce Jarrad Aguirre, Amna Aziz, Kevin Coughlin, Jennifer Anne Cueto, Anne Lauer, Jacquelin Rankine, Jennifer Townsend, and Yan Wang as recipients of the AACAP Summer Medical Student Fellowships supported by AACAP's Campaign for America's Kids.
The AACAP Summer Medical Student Fellowships offer a chance for medical students to explore a career in child and adolescent psychiatry, gain valuable work experience, and meet leaders in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. The fellowship opportunity provides up to $3,500 for 12 weeks of clinical or research training under a child and adolescent psychiatrist mentor. The fellowships are administered through the AACAP Department of Research, Training, and Education, and the Training and Education Committee under the direction of Jeffrey Hunt, M.D. and Howard Liu, M.D.
The summer medical student fellows will present their research during AACAP's 59th Annual Meeting, October 23-28, 2012 in San Francisco.
