Washington, D.C., September 19, 2012 - The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) is pleased to announce Ann Alaoglu, M.D., and the Chestnut Lodge Study Group, as the recipient of AACAP's 2012 Norbert and Charlotte Rieger Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Award.
The award, supported by the Norbert and Charlotte Rieger Foundation, was established in 1996 to recognize innovative programs that address prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of mental illnesses in children and adolescents. The award honors programs that serve as models and provides financial support to the nominee and service program.
Dr. Alaoglu presents, "Untangling Psyche and Soma: A Traumatized Adolescent with Lyme Disease," at AACAP's 59th Annual Meeting, on October 26, 2012, in San Francisco.
