Reimbursement for Practicioners

Reimbursement for Practicioners
In tough financial times, psychiatrists more than ever need to understand the reimbursement system. AACAP provides information and tools to help understand the complex system and maximize reimbursement. Keep up to date with changes in regulations and reimbursement rates.

Practice Forms/HIPAA Disclosures

Practice Forms/HIPAA Disclosures
For members interested in opening a private practice or those looking to make sure they are compliant, AACAP has developed a variety of forms, notices, and other documentation to help run the business of your practice.

Health Information Technology and Electronic Medical Records

Health Information Technology and Electronic Medical Records
Technology may be the fastest changing part of your practice, especially the use of electronic medical records - from charts to prescriptions. AACAP provides information and resources for child and adolescent psychiatrists to help understand and navigate the opportunities with EMRs under healthcare reform.

Telepsychiatry
Telehealth technologies offer one approach to help provide services to children who do not have access to traditional sources or are living in underserved communities. The Telepsychiatry Committee focuses on the use of telehealth technologies to improve the care and outcomes of children and adolescents who do not have access to traditional forms of mental health care.

JobSource

JobSource
AACAP provides JobSource: an advertising and recruiting tool for both employers seeking qualified child and adolescent psychiatrists and for members looking for new career opportunities. It is a year-round and web-based service used by both AACAP members and non-members and administered by the AACAP.

Transparency Portal

Transparency Portal
For 56 years the AACAP has a history of working to improve transparency. At every level, we work to ensure that all children and adolescents living with mental illnesses receive treatment of the highest caliber. The work AACAP has done on due diligence and the process of assessing Conflicts of Interest easier is outlined here.
