AACAP Legislative Conference

AACAP’s 2022 Legislative Conference will be virtual again next year, with training held in the afternoon on Thursday, May 5 and Congressional meetings scheduled throughout the day on Wednesday, May 11. We look forward to AACAP members at all levels of their career taking part in a key opportunity to meet with Members of Congress and their legislative staff to promote children’s mental health and efforts to support the psychiatric workforce. Look for registration details soon.

2021 Virtual Legislative Conference

This year’s Legislative Conference, sponsored by the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, will take place virtually with mandatory training on the afternoon (ET) of Thursday, May 13, 2021.  Virtual Capitol Hill meetings will be scheduled throughout the day on Wednesday, May 19, 2021. Through instruction, training, practice, and online meetings with Members of Congress and Congressional staff, you will address critical issues facing child psychiatry, your patients and families, from the comfort of your own home or office!

Though we will miss seeing you in person in Washington, DC, we are excited to continue this annual tradition in a virtual format.  Perhaps now more than ever, it is critical that the perspective of child and adolescent psychiatry is heard on Capitol Hill.
