The Tennessee Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (TACAP) is dedicated to building community within child psychiatry both within local regions and across the state. We're committed to a unified advocacy on behalf of our patients and our profession in the face of societal and economic pressures.
TACAP includes eighty-seven members, primarily clustered around large cities across our state. Fifty-three of us practice in Middle Tennessee, with most clustered in the Nashville area. Another eighteen of us practice in Western Tennessee, with most in the Memphis area. Finally, fourteen of us practice in Eastern Tennessee, with most in the Knoxville area. We have a strong relationship with the two child and adolescent psychiatry training programs in Tennessee, which offer a total of seven training positions each year.
