The San Diego Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is a regional organization of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). As such we represent San Diego to AACAP and Cal ACAP (California Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry).
As San Diego’s organization we strive to:
- Provide a forum for the discussion and exchange of ideas regarding the mental health resources and psychiatric needs of children and adolescents and their families in San Diego County.
- Provide a scientific forum for discussion of advancements in our field.
- Be a source of communication with other professional groups that are also concerned with the welfare and education of children.
- Further medical contributions to the knowledge and treatment of mental health problems of children and adolescents.
