This Clinical Case Conference aims to illustrate issues in evaluating and treating a high school student visiting from another culture who developed a major psychiatric disorder with mood, anxiety, and psychotic features. The focus is how cross-cultural understanding and understanding of the impact of ethnicity are important to working with the family, the adolescent, and the school and in assessing the impact of pharmacological treatment.
