NEW YORK—The AACAP 2006 Psychopharmacology Update Institute, “Evidence-Based Psychopharmacological Treatments for Youth in a Time of Regulatory Uncertainty” will focus on psychotropic medications in treating children and adolescents' mental illnesses and examine the increased attention on medications' safety and efficacy raised by the Food and Drug Administration. Journalists will hear expert opinions on psychotropic medications' risks and benefits and parental concerns.
