The AACAP promotes and supports research careers, publicizes research and training opportunities, and sponsors initiatives to foster the development of early career psychiatrists through its Department of Research and Training. The AACAP publishes peer reviewed scientific papers, offers fellowships and awards to encourage scientific excellence, holds scientific meetings, and publishes curricula and recruitment materials to fulfill the needs of the profession.
