This Institute updates participants about the possible treatment impact of DSM-5 proposed criteria changes, as well as several newly included and controversial conditions. Treatment impact extends beyond psychopharmacologic treatment for some conditions (e.g. posttraumatic stress disorder, suicidal behavior, and non-suicidal self-injury). This Institute is designed for child and adolescent psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals with an interest in child and adolescent psychopharmacology and child mental health.
