Course Objectives
The AACAP's 33rd Annual Review Course emphasizes material relevant to the child and adolescent board certification examination and serves as an up-to-date review of child and adolescent psychiatry. The course is designed to prepare those studying for the written and oral child and adolescent specialty examinations and to update practitioners on state-of-the-art standards. On Wednesday through Friday, April 2-4, the Review Course features lectures and discussion. A half day session on Saturday, April 5 is devoted to simulation exercises, in small groups, for the oral examination of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. (Please note that this Training Session is offered at a separate registration fee.)
Continuing Education Credits
This course is one in a continuing medical education series under the direction of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). The AACAP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The AACAP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 27.25 hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. (22.5 hours for Wednesday-Friday, 4.75 hours for Saturday). Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. CME credits are not available to those who purchase the syllabus or audio recordings without attending the meeting.
Course Materials
Each participant receives a detailed syllabus (helpful for later review) that organizes course materials, including outlines, annotated bibliographies, CME questions for self-assessment examination, and handout materials from presentations.
