Institute Goals and Overview
This Institute focuses on an extensive review of the literature on community systems of care, consultative issues, culture, ethics, forensics, public policy/advocacy, schools, as well as seminal articles on the latest research and practice in child and adolescent psychiatry. The Institute is designed to assist child and adolescent psychiatrists in meeting the self-assessment and lifelong learning component of the maintenance of certification requirement, which is an integral part of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology’s (ABPN) Recertification Exam. It is also an opportunity for child and adolescent psychiatrists who are “grandfathered” and do not need to take the recertification exam to keep up-to-date on the latest literature in the field.
