What does it mean if my Registration is pending?
If you are trying to register for the meeting and you receive a message that you have a registration pending, click here to view your Checkout Basket. From there you can continue with your registration by clicking edit next to the sections you need to complete, or cancel the registration and start from the beginning (recommended).

How do I change my badge to say something different from what AACAP has on file?
Under the Attendee Name Review (for your Badge) step, change your name to be how you want it displayed on your badge.

How do I change my mailing address?
When reviewing your address, use the Address Purposes drop-down list to choose an address already on file, or enter different information in the fields provided. Determine if you want to update your record with us permanently for all future communications or only for the purposes of this meeting registration. If you choose to only update your address for this meeting it will not affect where we send your member communications, such as your dues notice and the Journal. However, any communications about this meeting will be sent to the address associated with this meeting.

What is the Meeting Disclaimer?
It is required that you read the Meeting Disclaimer and accept the terms specified in the disclaimer if you want to attend the meeting. Place a check mark in the Disclaimer box and then click Proceed to continue with your registration.

What is the Summary Button?
Click on the Summary Button to review the information you have entered up until this point. When viewing your summary you will notice the word Edit next to each section. Click on Edit next to the section you wish to update, or use the Back link in the upper right corner of the page to return to the previous page.

Are children allowed to attend the Annual Meeting?
Children are welcome and encouraged to attend the Halloween Costume Party and Reception on Friday, October 31st from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Children under the age of 18 do not need to pay to attend the reception, but please visit the Registration Desk so that they can get a name badge.

I'm an AACAP member, but it only shows the non-member registration rate. How can I fix this?
You could be receiving the non-member rate for a variety of reasons. First, please make sure you logged in using your AACAP Member ID and password. If you still receive the non-member rate, have you paid your 2008 dues? If not, you can go back to the AACAP Home Page and click on "Pay Dues Online" at the bottom under the "Online Services" header. For additional information please contact Member Services immediately at 202.966.7300 ext. 2004.

First, click here to review the Registration Fee Schedule. If the incorrect registration rate is still being displayed, please call the Office of the Registrar at 202.966.7300 ext. 2005.

If you join the Academy before you attend the Annual Meeting, you will save $250 on the combined cost of membership and Annual Meeting General Registration. I'd like to register for an event that is sold out. What should I do?
AACAP will keep a limited wait list for ticketed events. If you would like to be added to the wait list please call 202.966.7300, ext. 2005. If a ticket becomes available before the Annual Meeting, you will have 24 hours to respond to AACAP's notice and provide payment for that ticket.

I'm a Presenter. Do I need to register?
Yes, all presenters need to register for the Annual Meeting and pay the appropriate registration fees. If you are a nonmember presenter, you should have received a voucher code to register at a special price. If you did not receive this code, please email meetings@aacap.org.

Do I have to enable pop-ups in order to use your Web site?
In some instances, yes, you will need to enable pop-ups. When you do any of the following you will need to be working in a pop-up window: view/edit your Member Listing/Profile, search either the Member Directory or the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Finder, or register for a meeting. Some browsers can be configured to allow pop-ups on a per-site basis. Others will require that you turn your pop-up blocker completely. To find instructions for working with pop-up blockers, click on the Help link in your Browser and search on pop-up.

The submission deadline for AACAP's Annual Meeting Call for Papers is Tuesday, February 16, 2010 or Tuesday, June 15, 2010 for late New Research Posters. All submissions must be made online. Click here for complete details and to start a submission.
Preliminary Schedule
The Annual Meeting Preliminary Schedule will be available online on June 15, 2010. The Registration Magazine with full program details will be mailed to all members in August. If you would like to be added to this mailing list, please contact Nelson Tejada at ntejada@aacap.org.

Registration for the Annual Meeting will open in August.
Hotel Reservations
The host hotels for AACAP's 57th Annual Meeting are the Hilton New York and Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers. The room block is not open to make reservations for the Annual Meeting and rates have not been confirmed. Check back in February for more information.
