This Workshop begins with a brief overview of the development, screening, and assessment of anxiety disorders in children and adolescents that considers age, symptom presentation, severity/ impairment, and child/family risk and protective factors. It focuses on teaching clinicians the fundamentals of treatment of anxiety disorders and increasing understanding of evidence-based tools that can assist in a practical way. The Workshop utilizes an active learning format that includes case examples and practice exercises. Audience participation is encouraged throughout so that skills learned may impact clinical practice.
