This Workshop is led by a psychiatrist that has special qualifications in forensic psychiatry and an attorney with experience working in the field of psychiatry. The Workshop reviews the forensic concepts of standard of care and malpractice relevant to child and adolescent psychiatry, details specific clinical risks and dilemmas faced by clinicians, and identifies forensically informed best practices to prevent and/or manage these specific risks. Attendees are encouraged to discuss brief vignettes of cases which have presented medico-legal risks.
