This Workshop includes a summary of current issues in diagnosis, assessment, research, and treatment of infants with autism is presented. Participants gain an awareness of new approaches to diagnosis as well as current uses and limitations of more traditional diagnostic and screening approaches. Case materials are used to illustrate important aspects of assessment and approaches to treatment (including a discussion of alternative treatments) and to help participants become better able to detect autism early in life.
