Cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy spectrum approaches with children and adolescents are widely used and enjoy considerable support. The Workshop teaches participants established methods and novel procedures that are embedded in a cognitive behavioral case formulation. First, participants acquire a sophisticated appreciation of cognitive behavioral conceptualization. Second, participants achieve an advanced understanding of the session structure that characterizes cognitive behavioral therapy as well as the therapeutic stance variables that punctuate the approach. Finally, participants increase their competency in both traditional and innovative cognitive behavioral methods.
