54th Annual Meeting Program
Workshop E: Common Dilemmas in Neuropsychiatry: A Case-Based Approach

Wednesday, October 24 - SOLD OUT
8:00 – 11:00 a.m. (ticket)
Caroline E. Fisher, M.D., Ph.D., Paul Marshall, M.D., Yael Dvir, M.D.

In this Workshop, participants gain a better understanding of common neuropsychiatric problems that may be present in a general child psychiatry practice. The cases presented illustrate three commonly encountered symptoms: “spells,” including absence seizures, temporal lobe seizures, and things that masquerade as seizures; autistic features, including complex communication disorders as well as autistic spectrum disorders; and odd movements, including diagnosis and treatment of tics, Tourette’s disorder, and dyskinesias. At the end of the Workshop, time is set aside for participants to ask questions or present their own puzzling cases for group discussion.
