This Workshop presents a comprehensive approach to responding to traumatic experiences regardless of the type of trauma (attachment, interpersonal, accidental, surgical, natural disasters, and national and political). The specific aspects of any child’s and family’s experience and the use of a particular appropriate and empirically supported therapy can be integrated into this approach. The presentation describes the clinical model of response and applies it to a wide range of traumatic experiences. Integrations with neurophysiological and therapeutic models are discussed and audience members are encouraged to discuss their own cases throughout the Workshop.
