8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (ticket)
Mani N. Pavuluri, M.D., Ph.D., FRANZCP, Chair

The goal of this Institute is to offer an overview of the assessment and treatment of pediatric bipolar disorder (PBD). There are a number of unique aspects of the Institute. First, empirical data is used to substantiate the state of the art clinical practice. Second, scientific advances are disseminated to the researchers and the clinicians in the audience. Finally, the panel of speakers includes those who have a dual role of being a clinician and a researcher that will allow integration of real life application of science as they deliver the continuing medical education. The topics below include complimentary aspects of assessment, diagnosis, pathophysiology, medication management, specific emphasis on treating depression, predictors of treatment, preventative treatments, and psychosocial therapies.
