Behaviors and social interaction are often the final common pathway of multiple neurological and medical conditions in children. These behavioral associations are exceedingly common, but easily overlooked in clinical practice. Indeed, child and adolescent psychiatrists are faced with substantial challenges regarding the assessment and treatment of psychiatric difficulties in the presence of substantial medical and neurological morbidity. Participants are encouraged to bring brief case presentations that involve the mixing of psychiatric, neurological, and pediatric issues for discussion.
