Washington, D.C., February 22, 2011 - The American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) in recognition of Dr. Hansen's generous $100,000 donation, is proud to announce the AACAP Douglas B. Hansen, M.D., Annual Review Course and Training Session for the Oral Exams in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

The Douglas B. Hansen, M.D. Annual Review Course emphasizes material relevant to the child and adolescent board certification examination and serves as an up-to-date review of child and adolescent psychiatry.

Formerly known as the AACAP Annual Review Course, the name change is in recognition of Dr. Hansen's generosity and to honor his dedication and efforts in helping children with mental illnesses receive the treatment they desperately need.

Dr. Hansen chaired the first Annual Review Course in 1975 in Houston, Texas. The inaugural Douglas B. Hansen, M.D. Annual Review Course takes place March 9-11, 2011, in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas.
