Continuing Medical Education Credit
This course is one in a continuing medical education series under the direction of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP). The AACAP is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. After going through the reaccreditation process, AACAP has achieved Accreditation with Commendation status. This extends our accreditation period to a six year term. Only 6-8% of CME providers attain this status.
The AACAP designates this educational activity for a maximum of 12.5 hours of category 1 credit towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology has reviewed AACAP’s Module 5: Mood Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Suicide, Tourette’s Disorder, and Updates on Relevant Topics for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and has approved this product as a part of a comprehensive lifelong learning program, which is mandated by the American Board of Medical Specialties as a necessary component of Maintenance of Certification.
Participants may earn an additional 30 category 1 credits towards the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award and the ABPN’s Maintenance of Certification requirement by taking and passing the optional take home post-test for an additional fee.
Course Notebook
Each participant receives an Institute Notebook (helpful for later review) which organizes materials specially prepared for the course, including Module 5 articles, course slides, and various handout materials. Participants also have the option of ordering the take home post-test for Module 5 for an extra $80. Registrants may earn an additional 30 category 1 CMEs for taking and passing the post-test.
