D. Richard Martini, M.D., Receives AACAP Simon Wile Leadership in Consultation Award

Washington, D.C., September 24, 2008 – The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), is pleased to announce that D. Richard Martini, M.D., is the recipient of the 2008 Simon Wile Leadership in Consultation Award. The award acknowledges outstanding leadership and continuous contributions in the field of liaison child and adolescent psychiatry. It is supported by the child psychiatry service at Massachusetts General Hospital and administered by the AACAP Committee on Liaison with Medical Professionals.

“To receive an award for doing something that you love is an honor and a pleasure,” said Dr. Martini in a written statement. “As a Simon Wile Award Winner, I join a group of professionals whom I greatly admire and who have developed clinical and academic relationships with pediatrics and family practice that I believe are vital to the success of child and adolescent psychiatry.” 

Dr. Martini will present, “Improving Care in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry: A Patient Outcome Model,” at the Simon Wile Symposium at the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry’s Annual Meeting at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel and Towers on Friday, October 31 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
