American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Discusses Antiepileptic Medications' Psychiatric Side Effects at FDA Open Hearing
The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry President-Elect Laurence Greenhill, M.D., in collaboration with allied professionals, discussed the risks and benefits of antiepileptic medications at the FDA's Joint Committee Meeting of the Peripheral and CNS Advisory Committee and Psychopharmacologic Advisory Committee. The children's mental health coalition has created a Bill of Rights for Children with Mental Health Disorders and their Families. The coalition includes the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), the Autism Society of America (ASA), the Child and Adolescent Bipolar Foundation (CABF), Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD), the Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health (FFCMH), Mental Health America (MHA), and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

AACAP Honors Advocates of Children Living With Mental Illnesses
The American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) will honor Senator Jeff Bingaman (D-NM), Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA), Rep.
