Transportation by Air

There are three airports in the Washington, DC area that are in proximity to our Annual Meeting in Washington, DC.

Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)

Getting to and from the airport:

  • Taxi: Taxi and van service is also available at Reagan National. Taxi service is available in front of all terminals. Fares to the Washington Marriott Wardman Park usually run around $30.
  • Train: DCA is connected to DC's Metro rail. Travel time between DCA and Woodley Park is approximately 30–40 minutes (depending on the originating/terminating terminal at DCA) using the Metro station at the airport to the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan Station.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Getting to and from the airport:

  • Shuttle: The Super Shuttle (800.258.3826, booking.supershuttle.com) runs from all area airports to the meeting hotels, starting at $20. Supreme Airport Shuttle (800.590.000, www.supremeairportshuttle.com) also runs from all area airports starting at $29. Call or go online to make your reservation.
  • Taxi: Taxi and van service is also available at Dulles International Airport. Taxi service is available in front of all terminals. Fares to the Washington Marriott Wardman Park usually run around $60.

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

Getting to and from the airport:

  • Shuttle: Supreme Airport Shuttle (800.590.000, www.supremeairportshuttle.com) also runs from BWI Airport starting at $39. Call or go online to make your reservation.
  • Taxi: Taxi and van service is also available at BWI Airport. Taxi service is available in front of all terminals. Fares to the Washington Marriott Wardman Park and the Omni Shoreham Hotel usually around $88.
  • Train: BWI Marshall Airport offers free, frequent, and convenient shuttle service between the MARC/Amtrak station and the BWI Marshall Airport Terminal. Shuttle Service operates 24 hours per day 365 days per year. Shuttles run approximately every 6 minutes except between the hours of 1: 00 am and 5:00 am where service operates every 25 minutes. At the MARC/Amtrak station, shuttles stop adjacent to the rail station garage, directly across from the rail station. At the BWI Marshall Airport terminal, shuttles stop at each designated airline check-in counter. You can take the MARC/Amtrak train to Union Station for around $7 and the can connect to the Metro and take the Red Line towards Shady Grove and then get off at the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan station.

Transportation by Train

Getting to and from Washington Union Station (Amtrak):

To get from Union Station to the Washington Marriott Wardman Park and Omni Shoreham Hotel, you will need to take the Metro (subway). From Union Station, get on a Red Line Metro train going towards Shady Grove. Take the Metro six stops, and get off at the Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan metro stop. From there, head southeast toward Connecticut Ave, turn left onto Connecticut Ave, and then turn left on Woodley Rd., and the Marriott will be on the left.  To get to the Omni, go down Connecticut Ave one more block, turn left on Calvert St., and the Omni will be on the left.
